Marleau wants to retire a Shark and Dell is much better (and more expensive) than Hutchinson. Leafs are already in cap hell and can’t take on more cap even with the 950k retained. Aaron Dell’s still gotta be paid around 2M. The only way the leafs are afloat is with the LTIR.

And yes it does, Roster player locked for 4 seasons C/LW replaces Domi minutes and a 3/4/5 LHD with control - fits the Habs needs
