Petry won't go for that high of an asking price....

And that Mason trade is laughable.

i see vegas as a desperate team. even if mngmt doesn't think its fair, i think ownership doesnt care. they just want to win. look how hastly they fired gallant. yeah i think the 1st can be lowered to a 2nd. and can you elaborate on the manson trade?

To much for Petry, I think the most they would get would be Krebs and a 1st, even then it's unlikely.

Not enough for Manson, he would only be moved out of Anaheim for a good prospect and high pick, it just leaves a big hole at RHD for Anaheim.

These trades are all hilariously biased towards Montreal. And they say Leaf fans are delusional.

Oh boy here we go.
Dallas may want to upgrade their 2nd line LW but trading their current 2LW a 1st and 3rd for 1 year of Tatar is a massive over payment

Petry can fetch a 1st, yes. But he will not fetch you a 1st and Krebs, let alone a 2nd on top of that. People on here agree that Krebs and a pick is fair value for DeAngelo, and DeAngelo certainly carries more value then Petry so you do the math there.

Wtf is that Manson trade???? In what fantasy world do you have Petry returning a 1st, a 2nd, and an A prospect, but Manson only returning a decent 2nd/3rd liner and a 2nd? Also, Why would Anaheim, a rebuilding team, trade their only viable RD in their entire organization?

i think both tatar and petry can fetch a package that i have proposed. esp considering the market, term, salary and production of the players

You are getting more for Petry and Tatar each then you got for Pacioretty. There's no way any team is giving you that, no matter what you think. Neither team has any reason to do those deals, and neither is desperate as you have assumed. All of these trades are unbalanced. And don't tell the salary retention helps.

I don't think Anaheim would trade Manson for Petry straight up, so why would you get a ton of great assets for Petry and get Manson for very little. Give your head a shake.

You even take a cap dump like Merrill and get two picks out of Toronto. Why would the Leafs do that? And if they wanted Merrill (they don't), why wouldn't they get him from Vegas?

Petry won't bring you two firsts in the middle third of the round, a second and an NHL-viable bottom-pairing defenseman.

Anaheim won't trade Manson without getting somebody at RD (at least a prospect) back. Moreover, Armia isn't as valuable as Silfverberg (by a long shot) and Hudon isn't as good as Comtois, Steel, Terry, Lundestrom or Grant, so none of this improves the Ducks.

Mete, Poehling for Manson may be a better starting point.
