Tough call, they have missed the playoffs for so many years, but are finally positioned to make it and with McDavid anything can happen. Not really their year to hold back for some undetermined point in the future to 'compete'

While I'm not an Colorado fan I'm pretty sure that Colorado would want at least Romanov for Byrum.

As a Leaf fan .... I would actually make that Domi trade .... if his extension made sense (or Montreal signed him and retained enough for it to make sense).

the thing is he's a RFA and after MTL trades all these players and their UFA's come off contract will leave them with 33million by july 1st .

only reason i can think to clear that much cap is to target teams RFA's and UFA's .
Offersheet Domi ,D'angelo and Strome with cap to spare to pay Lehner , Crawford or Halak to play tandem with Primeau

i mean MB isnt aggressive enough to do it but i would especially to division rivals like TML

That's an 0-for-5. Leafs trade is the worst, but none of them make sense for either team.

Petry isn't waiving to go back to Edmonton, And that's a garbage return for Max Domi Cody Ceci is garbage so it's basically Liljegren+2nd round pick for Domi not enough.

I think Broberg was a terrible pick, I didn't have him till the early second in a very weak draft, and he hasn't really done much to show me otherwise this year

Not many NHL teams go off your list. There's a reason for that, I just forgot what it was...

but i do, and that's how I value players (plus he really hasn't been good this year, and he was even falling on big boards towards the end of last year when scouts started realizing he hasn't been good since the Hlinka cup)

He's playing in the 3rd best league in the world at 18 and pulling down over 14 minutes a night. He isn't setting the world on fire but he's ahead of Klefbom at the same age.

Nobody had him in the 2nd round as far as I recall.
