I understand your desire to keep Puuljujarvi he's a decent bust . Keep him , we don't really want him and Kovy will be easy to flip (you'll see)
Always nice to ear from you .

21 Year olds are not busts. I dont think KOTKANIEMI who is almost 20 is a bust either. Not sure why the Oilers would trade for Kovey and than flip him.

He's playing the Finn league . Openly said he's not playing in EDM no more . I mean i don't wanna ruin his value but it's fair to say that he's value have drop and will probably continue to do so .
Hell even Kk value have drop down ! (even tho not that much)
What's your value on him ? What do you realisticly think a team would pay for him ? What would be the urgence and where do you fit Puuljujarvi in the line-up and how can you guarantee him good ice time without hurting the lockerroom chemistry ?
I personnally think Edm need to trade him for some sort of an asset . By cap friendly you have 1.2M under cap ( i understand this is not exact amounts but still) . Fit a veteran like him would cost 1 paycheck ( something in the around of 50k ) for a player of Kovy magnitude that an interesting investment for the remaning of the season . I would argue that pts vs $ ( how much money is needed per pts he would be number one in Nhl easy !)
I think everyone is willing to give a 3rd for Kovy , some might give a 2nd ( maybe) idk . But will see , he's on the block .

Oilers have Neal on the team already. We don’t need another slow goal scorer. If you do our lineup, where do 2 slow players fit. If I am oilers I reall consider buying out Neal next year. The Nhl is still changing and he does not fit. Benson is getting called up and the Oilers will need a 3rd line center and one winger to play left side with McDavid. That’s it. Tartar is the perfect guy and Krieder, Johnsson would also be great. But Some teams need to take money back for oilers. So it’s a long shot. The oilers will look to package a D like Legasson a 2nd and probably a kind of crap contract that ends this year for someone.

We're talking JP value . What your take on it ?
You said no previously to Tatar deal , and now he's the perfect guy ?
Tatar would be easy to flip if we decide to do so . Why would we take any bad contract trying to sell him ?
Tatar is well respected in Mtl and could easily stay and be re-signed . His value is a first and a decent prospect ( about the value i put)
You need retention ? Pay more . If it's too much for you guys shop elsewhere , good luck guys ur fanbase would deserve some fun sometimes .

Tartar is worth a first, but I am not sure he is worth a first, 2nd and sometimes on here a 1st,2nd and 3rd, like its getting out of hand. Pretty soon people are going to want picks 1 through 7 for him.You dont have to do anything you want, thats why most trades in the NHL dont happen.
I am sure for a 1st and 2nd, everyone is going to shop elsewhere as this draft is very strong,
Our fanbase is having fun, we are 1 point out of first and with Benson coming up, we should be good to go. I would still like a 3rd line centerfor the oilers, but this was a year for Holland to see what we had, we were not expected to make the playoffs until next year when we have all our bad contracts gone and 32 million in cap space to spend
