I doubt Leafs would come even close to that. If Leafs do that Id personally fire Dubas into the sun.

Just making room in your top 9 for Bracco unless hes traded for mcdavid first. Dubas is known to like miller (as was every leafs fan like 45 minutes ago). Kerfoot isnt exactly lighting the world on fire either

I feel like that'd be a tough one for the Jets to pass on. The first rounder is key

Sorry it is Risto's value is way up . This is a Tim Murray trade . Trading away too many assets when you do not have enough in the system . There is still a massive hole in the system thanks to Murray's bad trades and drafting. This type of trade is made when you have assets in the system to support it. The reason injuries hit so hard was lack of players ready to step in . Botterill's picks need to be in Rochester and ready to fill the voids left. This is not a team that is one player away from a Stanley cup run . Murray's accelerated rebuild set us back 5 years . You cannot make overpayments like this at this time.

We are trading a mediocre RHD, a bust, a B prospect and a pick 2 years from now for a 60 point forward we desperately need, who is younger than ristolainen and locked up long term at a good price.

You are way off . Mediocre RHD - Do you watch the games ? A bust . Slow down trigger . Larger frame players often take longer to develop as they adjust to their frames . Think Chara and Pronger.Hardly a bust needs to get stronger on the puck and he will be fine. Davidsson is going to be fine Imagine Asplund with more offensive skills . Much like Olofsson developed and Asplund. And the pick when we still lack depth in the system . You are way too quick. You are gutting the system just like Murray did when we did not have the assets in the system to do so. Tim Murray is that you ?

Again, we disagree on all of this, which is fine.

I suggest you do the same . Your moves wreak of panic. And no long term vision.

I mean my team here has 5 of 6 top 6 forwards locked up for atleast 3 years with room for mittelstadt, cozens, ruostalainen and whomever else to grow into roles. I added position flexible players on short term deals, I left room for dahlin and jokiharju contracts while having a top 4 largely intact and kept all my defensive prospects.

So, swing and a miss

Sorry you just do not get or like the plan. We need system depth before making these type of moves . That depth is still being developed . Thanks to Murray's accelerated rebuild this organization was set back 5 years. You need depth before you make this type of move . The problem with the Kane and O'Reilly trades was not so much we overpaid . Which we did . But they were about 2 years too early. We are at that same place right now . You have to have the system depth to fill the voids left by these overpayments . We still do not have that.

Again, we disagree. I traded none of our top prospects and one of our surplus RHD for a young, excellent forward locked up for 5 years.

You leave far too many holes to be filled that cannot be filled at this time . I think we stay the course till we see what can be done with actual space this summer . There are trades to be made then with several teams that have RFA's to be signed and no cap space to sign them . Such as Cirelli in Tampa . And no players that can be moved to make space because No Movement clauses were given

I never thought I’d want to fire an armchair GM...but that’s exactly what I’m gonna do....you sir are ****ing fired!

Ristolainen. And a first with two prospects for the Winnipeg Jets 5th leading scorer? If your paying that you better be getting a point a game centerman

I left no holes. Ruostalainen and cozens arent even on this roster, there is only 1 expiring contract in the forward group and I traded zero defensive prospects

You left massive holes . Your overpayments are just absurd at this time in the rebuild. And if injuries hit us again ?. That is what hurt us this year . Still holes in the system left by this type of trade. The system as to be flush with NHL ready prospects to make this type of over reach. If you make this type of trade it can only be for a bonified 2c

If all that’s true,
the why on earth would the Jets make that deal???
