Description
We all know GMJR. When he wants something, he gets it.

I added Toffoli because I know he'd be a great fir for PIT.

My guess is, Bill Guerin will want the following:

1.) A forward prospect that is ready or at most 1 year away from contributing in a top 9 capacity and a 1st or 2nd round pick.
2.) An NHL forward with term, a prospect that is 1-2 years away from NHL time, and a 3rd.

Zuckers ntc is now In place, that boat has sailed. Minny was trying to move him before that set in. Now it’s in place so tough to get him to agree to waive

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Guerin has said on record a top 9 FWD has to be moved, zucker to me is the most logical answer to be moved

Isn't it only 10 teams he can say no to though?

And yes, the NTC is something they need to get around now, but I would take the second of the two trades

Tough to determine who those 10 teams would be . Assume Canadian market and other East teams. I believe all his family ties are out west

I think we have an advantage due to Guerin being the former assistant GM and drafting and developing a lot of the guys we have in our system. So he knows our prospect pool isn't as bad as everyone thinks it is and we might be able to trade him 2 of our undervalued prospects he likes (Hallander, Almari, etc.) who other GMs would be like "who is this guy"

If Pittsburgh isn't on Zuckers no trade list, I think it's extremely likely he's traded there. If I'm Guerin I push hard for Hallander and a 1st but I'm not sure GMJR would do that. If I'm offered those two packages and they are above what everyone else is offering, I'd take the second trade with Legare and a 1st. I also disagree with your second idea in your description, the whole point of trading Zucker in the first place is to make room for Kaprizov in our top 9 and adding Bjugstad or any NHL forward with term doesn't solve that issue. If Zucker is moved it almost has to be for pick(s) and/or prospect(s).

Bc the pens want him, he doesn’t want to go to the East so block one of the highest risks of heading East? Who knows players have motivations that go beyond Just hockey

I think people read to much into this.
The penguins aren't looking for a long term LW.
Jakes natural position is LW, he plays better there.
They know McCann is a top 6 LW.

Kahun is their 3rd line LW option.

Long term they are set at LW.
They need a natural RW. Zucker isn't that. If they make a move I expect it to be a RW which really is the weaker side. They got Rust and Tanev over there and then a bunch of not much.
That can't be the case moving forward.
Hornqvist is a good player but he's too slow to keep up. And Simon simply is not a top line player. He doesn't have the shot to be.

So why everyone wants to ride on this, I don't see it happening.
Maybe Dadonov or Hoffman if FL is out, or Toffoli I could see.
Or to really surprise people possibly Anderson from CBJ.
I know that name might surprise people but they got Atkinson, Bjorkstrand and Bemström, in their top 9 on the RW right now. All are guys with more skill. On top of it they got a guy in Kirill Marchenko who is looking like a top 6 potential guy waiting to enter the system. For a team that made the conscious decision to rebuild after realizing how slow they were on the ice. The team isn't really what it use to be in a heavy hitting bully team. It's turned more into a speed skill team.
But the penguins could use a power forward like Anderson. Who could potentially fit their top 6. And if his role is getting squeezed out in CBJ I could see them making the move to help them for a pick and or prospect.

I think a lot of people prefer to see McCann as the long term 3c if you get rid of Bjugstad

They love him at the wing. They want him to shoot. He's got a cannon. You put him at 3C, he's on the ice for maybe 15 minutes. He's too good of a player for that. They will get him more minutes on a top wing where he can be on the ice for 20 minutes a night. I really think that's where he's going.
