Ian Scott is done for the year cause he had hip surgery so maybe getting a goalie back in a trade as insurance would be nice

The Leafs like a lot teams will probably be "in the hunt" for a playoff spot at TDL. Can't see the Leafs being sellers or those other teams either. Just can't throw away this season for not necessarily much in futures.
Even the Isles when Tavares in his last season, didn't trade him. They were right of the edge of playoff spot and needed to give their fans and players hope for the playoffs.
Can't see give Woll a look see especially if the team is bad. If anything play Woll more in the AHL. Scott hasn't returned yet, and might not this season.

i think you're making a pretty significant miscalculation on the st louis trade. alexandrov's ceiling is a middle-six forward, and he likely projects as a career third-liner. kasperi kapanen is exactly what you hope nikita alexandrov becomes, and your best hope for a late second is another alexandrov-type prospect.

was looking for Centre depth, in case they move kerfoot, or keep him on the wing, the STL pick could be a conditional 1 if KK plays more than 15 games in the playoffs (STL wins 2 rds)

That works, he can be a backup if need be but help mentor kaskisuo a bit in the AHL

I cannot see the Leafs ever admitting to themselves, at this point, that they are sellers. Perhaps they stick and try to win with the group they have, but I don't see them actively selling. The only exception might be Barrie and Muzzin. If the Leafs were in a "sell" position, I could see them trying to acquire a 1st rounder to get back into the top round of this 2020 draft, assuming of course that the condition on their own 1st has not been activated and Carolina keeps their 2020 1st. Aside from that, I see no reason for them to give up controllable assets midseason unless the return was ridiculous.

Um. LD is the absolute last position Columbus needs. Zero interest whatsoever in Muzzin; he'd basically be on the third pairing when Murray is injured and otherwise have nowhere to play.
