Keep Krug

Description
Palmieri trade to happen this season before the dead line. Similar to the Coyle trade last season Sweeney makes a move for a player with term. I think the value is fair, but also would be willing to add Zboril, Lauzon or Anderson to the trade.

Krug resigning to stay with the B's. No skater has signed for a higher contract then Begeron at 6.875M. Considering this and that Krug said he would take a discount to stay in Boston I think this is relatively close to what he will get.

Bjork will be resigned on a similar deal to Heinen last season.

Debrusk will get a deal similar to McAvoy with a higher contract in the third year so his qualifying offer will be roughly 5-5.5M.

Other than this the team stays relatively the same. Halak will have to walk, giving the bruins cheaper options in net such as giving the backup job to someone from providence, or going after a career backup around the 0.8M - 1M range.

I've also done this saying the cap will stay the same as this season.

I chose Winnipeg. But really this trade could be for any team looking to bolster the bottom pairing defenseman.

i dont understand everyones fascination with trading heinen. if he continues on same pace he will end around 34 points. thats not bad for a 3rd line winger.

Overpay Palmeri (or at least retain some of it), but close!!!
Good trade for Moore!
Too much money for Bjork (by a little bit, not much).
Underpayment on Grizs and Debrusks deals (but good bridge for Debrusk, just a little more money)
Kuhlman will probably get 1 mil
Krug will be a little less (for staying in Boston)

OVERALL THIS IS GOOD, all of those are just minor things going both ways so like I guess they kinda cancel out

Because Bjork and Kuhlman can give you same thing for less $. In order to bring someone in $ has to go out Heinen at 2.8 makes sense. I’ll be happy to trade a 30 pt guy for a 30 goal guy. This would be great for Boston.

its not just the points though, heinen has a high hockey iq and a great two way game. just because he doesnt score goals, doesnt mean he isnt incredibly valuable to that 3rd line.

And you are basing that on what? Coach speak? What they said the reason they had for not benching him when his offense disappeared?

What B’s fans heard: He’s great defensively. Does all the little things.

Reality: He’s not really. Was part motivation/confidence builder, part it’s him or Backes ??‍♂️.

Does not offer anything Bjork and Kuhlman don’t. Those 2 even get some PK time, something Heinen does not for all his defensive wizardry fans believe he has.

He’s the largest cap hit on the team that is, moveable, replaceable, has trade value. Soft as a baby’s a$$. Production has dropped, not used on the PK.

I place some of the blame on the team. He’s bounced around between LW/RW and every line for 2 years. He was at his best when he had a regular role and regular linemates.

He’s a complimentary piece, not a difference maker that has been regressing. Palmeiri would be an upgrade. And difficult to obtain without moving Heinen’s cap hit. And if you could who do you bench in favor of Heinen? Bjork or Kuhlman who are both playing as well or better than him.?

Heinen and bjork are similar players on the stat sheets, bjork has a better shot 14.58% vs 7.02%. but heinen has a better xgf than krejci. leads the forward group in blocked shots, doesnt take penalties, doesnt really give the puck away. For having only a 7% shooting percentage he is generating close to as many scoring chances and high danger scoring chances as bjork. Ide rather coleman over palmeri.

I’d like both. Lol. The 2 things we need a goal scoring RW and some grit in 1 trade.

My facination is not with trading Heinen. It's with up grading 2RW, To do this teams will want one of Debrusk, Bjork or Heinen and IMO Heinen is the odd man out. Definitely not Debrusk and I've liked Bjork's game more than Heinens.
