I think we would have to send you Gagner over too, but his contract ends this year

TO says no. No need for Gus and we can get a backup for way less than Kapanen. No

I don't get why so many folks are enamored with Puljujärvi? Saad and is worth a 1st and him alone but would rather have Saad for another year. Saad, injury aside, is on pace for 30 goals and 45 points; as a defensive power forward, guys like him don't grow on trees.

Regarding Kurashev, he is not a 4th liner he's a top 9 type of player.

Cat - Strome - Kane has been tried again and again; horrible defensively.

Quenneville shouldn't be the lineup. Highmore has shown he belongs for now; re-sign him on the cheap.

Murphy belongs on the right, has played that side his entire career as well as De Haan on the left...switch them and then move Mitchell to the bottom pair with De Haan.

Pretty sure lehner gets $7M to $8M. Stome I'd be happy at $4.5M but will be a 3 year bridge at that price...likely he gets closer to $5M on a 3 year bridge. 5 year deals coming off a ELC are very uncommon despite what Kane and Toews got years ago.

Saad over Kap any day of the week please!

At the rate Kubalik is going he is going to be approaching $4m quickly fortunately/unfortunately.

Kap is B+, hopefully he grows more. Toronto fans highly overrate him IMO; 10 goals in 49 games (on pace for 16 goals only) isn't that eye opening for a player who really is supposed to be a dynamic winger. Although he's on pace for 46 points which is solid for his cap hit but would really be interested in how many of those points are secondary assists and how many came when playing with Matthews or Tavares next to him.

I think the Poolparty thing is he is top 5 in scoring in the finish league (Not a great league) but he is still only 21, he can skate like crazy, big, strong and can shoot. He will be a NHL player, is he going to be like Laine or Paajarvi. Seriously if I am a teamI totally would take a chance on him if I dont have to give up that much.

That makes a lot of sense and see similarities but again, the Finnish league is a huge step away from the NHL. Then bring in the attitude of not wanting to sign with the Oilers...what's up with that?

Yah I think him and Drai had a fight and Drai told him he needs to be more serious. Poolparty was going around town eating pizza everywhere, catching rides with fans. ect
