I hope you don’t compare Chucky to Kovalchuk? We are a thousand miles appart. Even if kovalchuk have lost some of is speed is hockey iq was, is and will be better then Galchenyuk. I do think that he could play with malkin and have success since they already been playing together on the russian team.
Comparing Kolvachuk to Chucky what a strange ideas and bad ideas.

The thing is Kovalchuk wanted to play with a team offering him top 6 minutes which is probably something contending team aren't able to do so.

Its not about comparing their skill. Its about comparing how they both fit into the system. The penguins system is all about speed, dump and chase, heavy forecheck. Kovy does not fit that system just like chukcy doesnt. He is old, slow, and all he would be good for is on the PP but no reason for someone to take a full roster spot just for being a PP specialist. Just because they played a couple times on the russian team does not mean they will play well in the NHL. Malkin has finally bought into sully's system and bringing Kovy in would throw him off of that.

And how do you think Montreal style of play is.Montreal play the exact same way that Pittsburgh. Both are built on speed and heavy pressing down low to establish cycle. Your statement is a complete joke. Kovalchuk is use with a speedy danault and tatar and he is just fine. Malkin like to enter the offensive zone with puck control and often lets a trailer to is winger to stretch ice, kolvachuk could clearly be that winger with that hard release or he could find open rust or malkin with is higb hockey iq. I mean Montreal and Pittsburgh are literally playing the same style. The biggest difference is Pittsburgh have talent but the point if kovalchuk is able to skate with the high Mtl pace he will be able to speed with any team in the league.

First of all, no. You can say they play similar styles but to say they play the same style? Wrong. There is a reason Penguins are almost leading the league and montreal looks like a lottery team after every game. And dont give me any of the "But we dont have super stars like Crosby and Malkin" or "Habs have been injured all season". Both Geno and Crosby have missed significant time and guentzal is out for the season. No one has had more injuries to their star power or in general than the penguins. If the pens really wanted him we would have signed him. But we dont need him. Period. Why is that so hard for you to get? Jesus

where are the MTL Kov lovers who claim he's a great signing. I mean you'd want to hold onto him for the playoffs push right, wouldn't you???
Just more confirmation on how he is washed in this league. MTL fans can't wait to dump him hoping to get something that actually improves their team.
But most teams passed on him even at league min because they all know he can't keep up with the pace that teams want to play with. Especially in the playoffs when the speed of the game gets ratcheted up a notch.

And what is so hard to get that he would fit perfectly the penguins! I want to see him beside malkin or crosby and i don’t care if you don’t. You don’t seem to know nothing about hockey since you can’t even realize that Mtl and Pittsburgh play the same style of Hockey. Pittsburgh have always been competitive when one of Malkin or Crosby have been in their line up and that goes back to early’s 2010’s. The pens are the only team to have multiple hart trophy winner. It might be difficult for you to understand that since you know fkall about the rest of the league. And as for Kovalchuk he would be a nice addition to the Pens.

You must be the brother of the other nobel prize winner. Talking about pace that team want to play when he play for one of the fastest team in the league. That is literally the stupidest comment someone could make.

Hey Guy's... don't want to disturb your fight... very intertaining... but what I think...
Domink Simon who is 24 yo or even Bleuberg came to play next to Crosby or Malkin and suddenly have success...
Good OK AHL player.... imagine the switch with Kovy for a peak playoff time... I seriously think depth is the key part and this addition would be a win. no doubt even playing on the third and 1st on PP.

adding Top Prospect NHL ready Poehling C & RD Brook?

The reason Simon has had any success playing on Crosby's line, and it's very limited at that, he simply is not a goal scorer.
Is because he's hard on the puck.
Those are frankly the only words one can use to describe him.
And that isn't Kovy. Simon can fight for that puck win it and then play keep away with it.
But lets not pretend he has had "success" playing on Crosby's wing he hasn't.
The penguins lack a real top line winger for him. But they need a real player, not scraps and left overs.
They can fill better than that from with in. I'd rather them bring in Legare and let him play. They'd be better results than that.

lol okay. It doesnt really matter if want to see him next to them cuz it wont happen. GMJR clearly did not want him on the team so i guess our three times cup winning GM knows as little about hockey as me. Go and watch your mediocre habs team play mediocre hockey and wish they ever had any success in their franchise in the recent era.

I don't think Kovy could keep up with him. I mean that very honestly. They move that puck fast. Kovy doesn't play that game.
They want guys with speed on the wing of their older players. It's why you see Jake, Rust, McCann up there. They are all burners.
They explode up the ice. It's a track meet. No one is putting Kovy in a track meet.
