Slovakia is a shadow of what they once were and it's sad to see. They barely produce any good players anymore.

The defence is okay, though. Halak is a good goalie. If this team were to play in a best-on-best tournament, their biggest challenge would be offence.

Honestly their team at the WJC was not so bad and they got a lot of young players though... They're not the best but Maxim Cajkovic and Samuel Hlavaj are good prospect. Eric Cernak, Christan Jaros, Robert Lantosi and Marian Studenic are all below 25 and I think they could become ok players in the NHL even Lantosi whose playing in Slovakia.

At the WJC they weren't actually that good compared to the other teams. They were probably the 2nd worst team in the tournament.

Their team compared to the last two or three years was much better I think.
