As a Chicago fan, as much as I love subban, we can’t afford him. There’s not 1 chance. We have so much money tied up to our defense already.

That Subban Trade is horrible. Why would the hawks do that?

Bowman has already gone on record that Subban is not welcomed in Chicago. I don’t know how you think New Jersey would need to give up their 1st here.

Subban’s a big contract. His point production is free falling (declining his value) Murphy (still young), cap friendly, and is improving his defensive skill. I love this guy, but I can’t honestly feel he could fetch the Blackhawks a 1st.

Even if this trade happened, how would Chicago be better?

taking on a 9 mil cap hit would be disastrous for the hawks . 2 teams have dumped subban in less then a five year span in fact the preds practically gave him away . he has been called an arrogant , self centered prima donna and a cancer by both teams that traded him away . and if he is in fact available that would be a third team in 5 years that wants to get rid of him . This should be enough to be setting of alarms in any GM that might be stupid enough to make this trade . He is more considered branding himself with his PK76 then the helping the actual team he is on . He is already planning a future career in broadcasting for after his retirement thats part of the PK76 brand . This would go down in history as one of the worst trades in hawks history
