First off at least add Nylander to the deal, That garbage comes nowhere near getting Ekblad,

In my opinion the leafs need to focus on keeping good players for cheap instead of having more star players. They have too many in huge contracts already so if you want a player like ekblad you need to trade an equivalent player along with their salary. Deep teams win playoff games not 4 players that can be shut down rendering your team useless

There’s no prospects in this trade, Kapanen ceiling is a 2nd liner, Barries good but nowhere near ekblad, Dermott is ok still has potential but still a 3rd pair d right now.

True I guess dermott has been in the NHL for a bit. Another guy mentioned sandin. They're both young so I called them prospects
