Johnny + dube + a 1st? Makes more sense? Guentzel isn't even enough for johnny. Jake has had 1 season over 50 points. Johnny has never had a season below 60. Plz tell me how that plus a top prospect and 1st makes any sense at all?

Kinda underselling Guentzel here.

Since the beginning of last season, Gaudreau 1.06 Points per game. Guentzel .98 points per game. That's good for 4th and 6th among left wingers respectively. Guentzel is a actually more productive at even strength. He's also signed for a bit less, is a year younger, and signed for two more seasons than Gaudreau.

But yeah, adding a first and prospect still doesn't make sense.

I'm embarrased because I thought you were saying Guentzel is worth more. That makes alot more sense. Gaudreau>Guentzel but I feel like Gaudreau was undervalued on that trade. I'm an Oilers fan but Gaudreau is a very high level player that should get talent in return not just picks and prospects..
