In all seriousness he's been brutal this year. Could use an extra practise session with the coaches

His always been horrible defensively, I was on the trade rielly train last offseason. He will never replicate his offensive point production. It was time to sell while his value was so high

Matthews scores top corner, no big deal, no reaction, McDavid celebrates like a teenage boy reaching for 3rd base.

Actually, the Oilers 2nd line wingers are Nugent-Hopkins and Yamamoto, so no.

To be fair, that was an absolutely dominant performance by the captain. Cooking with gas tonight.

Huh. Weird that he said his focus in the off season was training to be a winger. I don’t pretend to watch every Edmonton game, but i think since his last 20 or so games last year, he has spent a lot, if not the majority of his time at winger.

Thought they had Leon with McDavid, so who are McDavid's wingers, Neal and Kassian?

Yes. They've been together for a few games now, seems to be working out okay.

Yeah, Nuge has spent most of his time at center. There was a stretch in 2017-18 where he played with McDavid - the last 20 or so games iirc - but otherwise he's been a pivot. There may have been a game or 2 earlier this season where he spent time with McDavid too...

And then a stretch in 2018-2019, and then a stretch in 2019-2020

Matthews didn't school a defensive player in open ice and the goaltender to create the goal. That McDavid goal will be in the season's top highlights. Please don't try to compare McDavid and Matthews ever again.
