He seems like a fairly unhinged player to me. For the price, or perhaps even cheaper, I think the Leafs could find a way to get Brendan Dillon from the Sharks, or move a winger (probably Kapanen) to get Phillipe Myers. Remember, there's 3 Leaf regular defenders that need contracts next season, so I would imagine, or perhaps hope, that any moves our young GM makes between now and next season would look to the future. Bottom line, there are better rental options than Borowiecki out there, and I argue that the Leafs should try and look beyond a rental.

"Toronto needs a solid gritty player." You seem to imply that that the no Leaf players have grit. Think the players have show a lot "grit" by pulling themselves out of the funk they were in with Babcock and accomplished what they have in the past six weeks.
