Nolan Foote would be on the team next year his shot is terrific and he has good hockey sense, power play and penalty kill specialist and has performed extremely well for Canada and in junior

Looks pretty solid but I believe Stephens is going to get one of the spots you've given to either ABB or Volkov, as he's already with the big club now. I also think they may try and keep Rutta as well since he has actually played decently thus year.

If Foote can earn a spot next year great, but I think it's the year after next he becomes a regular. In any case, Tampa will be able to make the roster work, obv won't be easy, but not "extremely difficult" to keep Cirelli and Sergachev as someone said in another forum.

Yeah let's trade Killorn .. continue to weaken the team due to the shrimps. Zero chance they trading Assistant Captain Killorn now .. you dont do that. Trade Gourde for a 7th round pick or TJ is answer .. Tampa will NEVER win with those shrimps on team.

We have to remove two large contracts. Gourde Tyler palet and killer are the options. You have no cap room and are three players short of a full roster. I would prefer Tyler and gourde to be moved. I know thee is NTC but got to find a way. The return will be little or we may have to add a pick or prospect to move.

Killorn is almost certainly getting moved. Sure I'd like to see him stay but he's the easiest contract to move and with his play, he could potentially net Tampa a 1st or a 2nd+3rd or 2nd+B prospect. Tampa may need to move one more and if that's the case they will likely ask TJ or Gourde to waive. However, I highly doubt they convince both of them to waive which would be required to keep Killorn. No one knows where the cap will be next year either, so if it's a bit higher than most seem to think then that could help as well. Cernak may come in lower and they could also move Coburn in order to keep Rutta, with Schenn or another plug as the 7.

It's not that I WANT to trade Killer. It's that I'm assuming the worst case scenario, which is that Tyler Johnson doesn't waive his NTC. Of course I'd love to unload Johnson, and I'd be okay to move on from Gourde (who's misused for the contract he's signed to)... but we have to assume the worst case scenario. Good news is, if that happens, at least we'll fetch a good return by trading Killer at his highest value ever.
And Johnson... well. I'm hoping that if he continues to get ~11mins of TOI as he's getting lately, maybe we'll persuade him to trade him to a team where he can have a much bigger role

I really liked Foote to these WJC so far and I'm glad he's a Lightning prospect , but I don't see him make it out of camp next season unless he really comes to camp and shows something incredible. In Tampa we have the approach of never rushing the prospects development

Oh yeah, I forgot Stephens. My bad
I agree on Rutta, I could see him getting a 2 years, 1.15M AAV extension. I've really liked his effort in the last couple of months and he's looked like a great pair for Hedman. A Rutta extension could also eventually lead to JBB telling Coburn that if he stays in Tampa he's likely to get scratched 95% of the games, which could translate to Coburn waiving his NTC to go somewhere else and actually play. This could free up ~400k (add Rutta subtract Coburn) and in the situation we are in every little bit counts

No matter if it's Gourde or TyJo, there is no way that we have to add something to move either one of those two players. I guarantee you, no way.

No, Tampa is not adding to trade either TJ or Gourde, if either waive their ntc. Tampa could at least mid round picks and b prospects for either.

It’s not the players it’s the five million dollar cap hit and length of contracts. Both are capable mid forward and 20 goal scorers but not in Tampa. JBB will be squeezed to move them unfortunately. IMO
