You realize that 4th line Brandon Tanev is basically out scoring Athanasiou right? Tanev who plays 60% of his time with Blueger and Reese... vs 2nd line, 2nd PP Athanasiou...

There is a reason I went for quantity over quality. I know AA has terrible numbers this year but everyone on Detroit does. That second line would be crazy fast with AA and Rusty. And the 2nd round pick from Detroit could end up being 32nd overall.

Detroit is in no shape to trade picks. Hell they need everyone that they can get.

Murray is a very good goalie but his injury rap sheet is long and not sure Wings want to get into the game of paying a goalie that kind of money and giving up assets for a guy who might have peaked and injuries are now catching up to him.
Losing Howard and Bowey is no problem, AA will be dealt but not with this package and not for Murray and therr is no way the Wings with the worst record this year an trading possibly the 32nd pick in a deep draft.
