This isn't very good for the best player in the world.
Kakko hasn't had that great of a first season and he's the most valuable piece you have here and Andersson is basically a throw in at this point, the other pieces are okay but just okay, the Oilers would be dumb as f@ck if they made this trade.

Saying Kakko hasn't had that great of a first season is a massive understatement. He's been downright awful- one of the worst players in the league from an advanced stat standpoint. I'm shocked with how poorly the Rangers have utilized him. He should be in Hartford with Kravtsov.

If you're going to trade McDavid, you sell everything and start fresh. Draisaitl would net you almost as much, maybe more considering his salary, and RNH is no longer of use.

I'm not an advanced stat person so wouldn't know about that but his point totals aren't exactly jumping off the page/screen and I'm just not hearing much about him.

Also if you were gonna trade McDavid to the Rangers you'd be way better off to demand Deangelo be included and not waste so much money and term on an aging Barrie and that JGP contract is one you'd surely regret, far better off to find a cheaper winger for RNH and save that money/cap space from Pageau to resign RNH the following summer.

He did and then he came back after being demoted to Russia's junior league. He's playing well for Hartford right now though.

That's not a good trade. It needs to be based around a stud piece and Kaapo hasn't looked good enough to be that.
