Framework of the trade totally works. Don't think Killinen is a good enough prospect to get it done.

More likely something Kuokkanen + 1st. And a conditional 3rd gets added if resigned.

Are you talking about the headshot on Dougie? Sure, like Eleanor Roosevelt- I like speed, hot nasty speed.

Kreider was just being a good teammate... The refs missed yet another penalty against the Rangers when Hamilton recklessly high sticked Zibanejad just a few seconds prior. Yet another missed call against a Ranger, so Kreider started policing the game himself. Rangers have had enough... The games going to be policed, either by the refs or the Rangers players.

2 wrongs dont make a right, i saw the hit to zib and yes it was a headshot but what Kreider did was straight up reckless. He hit dougie like a freaking freight train at full speed

If the ref had called the blatant reckless high stick on Doogie, Kreider wouldn't have had to take matters into his own hands and Doogie wouldn't of gotten freight trained. As for two wrongs don't make it right... You're correct, Doogie was wrong for high sticking Zibanejad so late in the game -down by two goals when the game was basically out of reach and the refs were wrong for not calling a penalty. Kreider was just correcting the two wrongs. If the refs and opponents don't like the way Kreider demands justice, don't do wrong.

More and more I'm starting to think NYR shouldn't trade Kreider and instead resign him long term.

What a homer point of view. Dougie's stick made head contact at waste height so Zib had to be bent over enough that he might as well have been taking a faceoff. Sure it was poor care of his stick but a hit to the head is rarely ever punished if the player hit put himself in a position that increases his chance of head contact (ie ducking while attempting to dodge a body check that results in the head being the main point of contact). Sure the refs missed it, refs miss all sorts of ****. But then to say what Krieder did was right is absolutely hysterical. I get if he went over and roughed Hamilton up or tried to start a fight but clearly try to hit him in the head and potentially give him a concussion? Come on man, and you talk about being reckless. There are rules in place for self policing and that was a clear violation of them.

Look at the replay... Doogie's stick held Zibanejad in place so he could catch up to him and then in frustration, because Zibanejad had been exposing Doogie's lack of defensive ability all game long, he purposely high sticked him. Zibanejad never lifted his stick off the puck and Doogie intentionally raised his stick into his face. Kreder was in front of the net in perfect view to see the whole thing happen. There's a reason fighting is allowed in the Hockey Constitution. If not for fighting, players would be hitting other players with their stick much more often than it currently happens - just like Doogie did to Zabenajad. If Kreider tried to fight Doogie, other Canes players would have stepped in and not let Doogie get the beating he deserved. If Doogie were to hit Zibanejad like a man with a check like Kreider did in retaliation, then it's ok for a Ranger to skate over slap Doogie senseless. But Doogie was too cowardly to do that and used his stick instead. A Cains player could have challenged Kreider to a fight, but deep down they respected him for being a good teammate. As for being a homer... If I were a Cains fan I'd also have respect for Kreider being a great teammate and I'd harken, "Your names Doogie... Not Paul Bunyan!" Can't let someone named Doogie take high sticking liberties on your teammates when the game has already been decided, it's just bad for team moral.
