So hard to say. But for me its Hedman. His skill, speed, defensive abilities are amazing, and on top of that he's 6'6"

W Subban gone he’s showing he can b a true leader on a blue line. Great skater, great in his own zone, has shown he’s a beast offensively and he’s a good leader. He’s the whole package. 5 years down the road, there’s no doubt in my mind the best dman will b Rasmussen Dahlin

Carlson is on pace for 105 points while averaging 24:57 per game, and starting slightly more shifts behind the red line than ahead of it. Give him the Hart trophy, already.

If I had to choose one, I would choose Hedman. He is the prototypical top pairing defensman. He leaves you wanting nothing. And at 7.85 for the next six years.... You can't do much better than that.

Well the Hart trophy is pretty obviously going to McDavid...

McDavid is dynamite on power plays, but at even strength he only has two more points than Carlson, who plays defense. If I had a vote, I wouldn't waste it on McDavid.

I completely agree. It's not like you could go wrong choosing any one of these guys but I would go with Hedman as well. Much like Lidstrom he can hit you if he has to but most of the time he doesn't have to he will just take the puck and go the other way.

John Carlson. Not just his offensive numbers, he’s been great both ways. Great season for him.
