i know im probably gonna get alot of grief lol but here it is this trade is to simply be able to dress 22 roster players instead of 21 when johnsson returns from injury, leafs need that extra cap space to make things work, engvall needs to stay in roster hes been excellent but so has timashov, if only running a 21 man roster timashov would be the one sent down to the minors to make way for johnsson and timashov will probably be picked up on waivers as hes not waiver exempt , i understand sens wouldnt want ceci back but they definetly dont need boedker as hes been a healthy scratch most of games this seasona at least ceci could help out ther defense, as with boedker he could be buried giving leafs some needed cap space, im not saying this deal could work but something similar trade involving another team swapping players in position they need more than the other i was thinking of a team detroit who need better defense, also if a defender got hurt with engvall being waiver exempt he could drop down to minors no problem and bring up a player like marincin and timashov could replace engvall on 4th line, i think liljegren needs to play half a season to be ready for next and plying 3rd line minutes will help his transition for next year he is already eating into his rfa years already while stuck in minors, this is just a trade to help in short term until maybe a bigger trade involving bigger pieces could be made...
