Subban is definitely overpaid and hasn't been great the last few years, but I would still love to see him in Ottawa. Subban and Chabot would be fun. Plus Ottawa has so much room to take on his contract that you can't even tell he makes $9 million.

I agree that Subban is overpaid... but I think the trade is neutral for both teams. Subban however would be a great ambassador for the Sens and even Eugene loves him... I'd buy a 76 jersey

I'd argue in favor of keeping both Boro and Demelo. They are solid guys both on and off the ice and can make a great shut down pairing and I'd like them to be extended. I've been in the re-sign Pageau train for a long time and unless something significant comes across PD's desk, I'd say it makes more sense to keep him..

The Zaitsev-Subban trade would be fun to see. I'd argue for a 1-1 but I can see Ottawa giving more due to the amount of term left on Zaitsev.

Wild would only do this if they made a series of other moves clearing space for another left shot.

Ottawa couldn’t afford PK

Chabot is going to 8mil next year . Duclair , C.Brown , Tierney are RFA’s and will all get raises . Duclair could be north of 5 mil at the rate he is playing . Even if they did manage to make it work next year . I doubt our owner would be willing to pay the 6 million signing bonuses in his final 2 years

Big overpay on Pageau+Demelo.

Pageau is worth a first by himself. Demelo is sneaky good if you look at his underlying. We shouldnt be taking the cap hit of gagne or sending a 2nd back.

PK is a good name, and a good character but hes not good anymore. Look at his stats. Id rather the lower cap hit of Zaitsev and the 2nd. Its fair, but not my preference.

If we retain we can get more for a stanley cup winning vet who plays good PK mins. Hainsey goes for a 4th, dorion throws a 6th

MIN trade is fair. I expect they would agree. We should as well.

Id rather we keep Boro. Its apparent that hes actually a leader in the room. We dont need to be good for another year or so.... sign him to a 2x1.5M and let him play 7th D
