Don't see how the Blues deal helps the Leafs this year or certainly in the future. Leafs lose two regular...Muzzin and Kapanen plus long term starter next year Liljegren plus the pick. All that for a rental?
Gee Hall costs the Coyotes in reality a first and junior prospect. Allen doesn't really have value at TDL. If Anderson is long term injured, Leafs aren't advancing far with Allen or anyone. In the trade scenario the Leafs lose two Dmen, get the best on in return Pietrangelo, but really just hoping Sandin is now NHL ready to the fast paced last month of the season and the playoffs.
Plus Armstrong isn't trading his captain, or even asking him to waive his NTC, and Pietrangelo isn't moving mid season.
