I agree, I'm not sure about them separating Landeskog from MacKinnon/Rantanen. Hence why I have Hall on the 2nd Line.

the roster really doesnt need him, hes a nice to have and make the roster look stronger on paper but hes not a missing piece that feels a need or they must trade for.
Top team in the West, top offence in the league. What does Hall add....makes the top offence a bit more offensively but probably weakens whatever line he is on defensively? Avs can add and load up for a cup run without Hall.

Makes sense, I was just curious as pretty much every fanbase expect you guys seem to want him. Also, how has Jost been?

they have been doing Bura Mack Donskoi a bit with a healthy Top 6 right now. Mack Rants is their ultimate connection, but Donskoi is with them if they shift pieces around. MacKinnon needs a defensively oriented forward with him at all times to take offhand draws. Landeskog and Donskoi fill that roll so there probably isnt a real lineup that Hall and Mack play with one another unless they break up Mack Rants....which is dumb.

Jost has been good without points, so hes basically playing his game haha. Every game he has solid cf% 5v5 numbers, noticeable forechecking, etc but it rarely translates to points.

I'm not an Avs fan, so I'm not an expert, I mean Donakoi or Landeskog are both 2 ways and Hall is both an offensive winger and not known to be a defensive player so I put on the second.

Not an Avs fan but it's the price. You have seen some ridiculous proposals on here like Byram + 1st and Kaut for Hall or 2 first round picks and a tip prospect for Hall and honestly when was the last time multiple 1st round picks were moved for a rental? NEVER.

Hell stone is a better player then Halls and signed a contract and only got Brannstrom and a couple of throw ins, how NJ thinks Hall is going to get them Newhook, Timmins AND a 1st is beyond me

oh dont worry about that, its just how the Avs lines are built and why they are so good, the Lines are constructed in a certain way around their Cs to make sure they are always balanced. Hall doesn't really check of the boxes being able to plug and play him in any line combo that they can do in the Top 6 right now. Thats why Avs are meh about Hall. Nice to have but you really have to throw off the balances to accommodate him.

I agree with this opinion. Hall would be a luxury to the AVs. One they don’t necessarily need especially at the rumored cost. A lesser move seems more appropriate if they want to add a forward to the mix.

Thats been Avs fans stance too, Heck there has been Girard+ for Hall as well, why would they ever touch their actual NHL roster for a rental? Hall can play at an MVP level, he did it once, but hes not a perennial MVP talent for a rental, so lets not project a price onto him based on what he did 2 years ago vs what he has done for his entire career. The MVP season is an outlier in a pretty slightly above average production for a winger of his draft stock

If the teams healthy, what they need as a solid Depth Dman who can PK, and probably a 3rd line LW.
No one thinks Bura and Donskoi...hell even Nichushkin keep this production up all season, but they dont have to, Guys like Landeskog and Rantanen are back now and will start to take up their production.

You said it best Hall is a luxury and there is no need to pay any over priced rental prices when its not a dire need, thats just foolish asset management

I would love Hall on the Avs, it's just the price that some people are proposing that is absurd. If NJD asks for Byram+ then it's an easy no

Yeah, I feel fans over value him. I didn't want to overpay him so I did not their best prospects but solid ones.

I don't see picks being of any benefit to thus team. They are 5 yrs into a build, they need bodies now. Those players offered are fine but not enough in my eyes. A good defender ready to play as soon as next yr. Those are not assets Avs fans want to give and I get that. But to just say yes to whatever Colo fans think they can put out there does not make it fair to jersey.
Also with the top 5-7 kids in this draft being forwards I think we end up with one of them, which makes a D acquisition more important

Hall was a point a game player when he got hurt last season. Before the realization that he's being moved kicked in he was a point a game player (on this s#!tty team) . Stone is more a two way player and very good, but not better than Hall. Are Devs wanting Byram yes, expecting prob not. Def not and a first added or more. Hall resigned has value, say no all you want he does, you just don't want to give up good stuff for him, so we play this game.
