Honestly, I think this team should look at moving Atkinson.
He's gonna be 31 next year. His contract runs till 35+
The play will start to decline and they are building young.
A team looking for help on the RW, aka Boston would probably give up nicely to get him.
Be looking at a 1st + because he's not a rental and the contract is solid.
CAM waives the NTC for it, because he goes to a team with a shot at winning the cup.

He’s not a rookie. He has one more year after this, then is an RFA. He should fetch a 1st and a good prospect

He's never going to carry an offense on his own, he's not that kind of player. He is a very solid power forward. A big physical guy with some skill. Not a skill guy who happens to also be big.
He needs a center around him who can be the play driver so he can be the disruption. But he doesn't have that. PLD is the only real center they have and he rarely plays on the same line.

Not opposed to this idea. But he is one of the only ones to show loyalty to the team and city, and that has to count for something

You think we would go after Holtby? Not sure about that, but crazier things have happened. This team needs to tank but not just for one season. They need to do it for two seasons. Really restock the farm with talent. This team needs at least one really high end skill player, probably two.

Which part of Boone’s -13 is untouchable? Z and Bjorky would certainly take a big package to move, but they aren’t untouchable. This is not an overreaction to one game, this is a fair assessment of what this team is. As it stands, we miss the ploffs but pick 10-15, that is the worst thing CBJ could do.

The one thing they won’t do is overpay ($ and term) for a goalie. If they can get Holtby for a reasonable contract, they do it for sure. Guarantee goalie is the #1 offseason priority. Foudy will come in hot next season and be a breath of fresh air
