  1. Hall, Taylor
Détails additionnels:
devils have the option to sell Galchenyuk at deadline or resign him. using this as a Stone comparison:

Brannstrom > Poulin obviously
but...
2020 Pit 1st > 2020 Dallas 2nd
and throwing in galcheyuk as well to sweeten the deal. Could definitely flip him for a 2nd at deadline, especially if he starts to heat up.

Doubt NJ wants a UFA back. Galch isn’t worth all that much right now.

they can flip him for a 2nd. he's still got some value. teams will take a chance with him, especially if he gets it going

Galchenyuk has a better ppg than Kessel so far this season. He looks like things are starting to turn around for him. He's been getting chances all year. Eventually they will start to go in. Gain some confidence and he could go off.

I'd only add poulin if hall comes with an extension.

That being said. I'd rather trade galchenyuk and a first for him without an extension and keep poulin just to see how he fits first.

this isn't the equivalent to the stone trade.

Ottawa got an undersized defenseman, a throw away forward and a second.

A Stone trade would be Addison, a 2nd and a throw away contract.

I will point out that Stone in 59 games had 28 goals including 18 5v5 goals when he was traded.
Hall has no where NEAR that level of production and is coming off major knee surgery.

#1 Branstrom is one of the best D prospects in the leauge. He’s a lot better than Addison.
#2 You act like you’re so against aqquiring hall but if pens made this trade you’d be thrilled. Poulin is years away from an NHL impact, galchenyuk just isn’t the right fit, and a first round pick is also years away from NHL impact. Getting hall and extending him (even if it is a pricy contract) would give Pittsburgh the best forward lineup they’ve ever had. This team would do serious damage in the playoffs and would give Crosby/ Malkin a few more Legit chances at a cup. Why not go all in? Pens will Very unlikely ever be in this position again

Branstrom was an over hyped player that Ottawa put a full out media blitz to build up to justify the poor return on Stone. He was, and remains an undersized defense man. Just go look at his play this year. It does not scream, worth Stone.
and 2#, Not at these prices I don't want Hall nor would I be thrilled to have him.
You aren't getting the player you think you are getting. You may have not noticed but there are a lot of questions swirling around "what is wrong with Hall" in NJ because the performance isn't there.
And the underlying issue is his knee. And no one is saying it all over the place yet, but everyone is kicking it around in the back of their head.
