Description
Jarry is the starter. Not much of a debate on that anymore. But does a Murray trade loom on the horizon? Probably not, but speculation is always fun. Draft day trade?

I wouldn't say he's the full time starter yet, based purely on pedigree, he's been the better goalie this year, I still doubt he gets more than like 50% of starts from here on out, but I HIGHLY doubt the pens will be entertaining trade offers for him anytime soon

i cant see them trusting desmith and jarry but jarry and sign a guy like halak in the offseason and you buy more time to figure it out

Heres an idea folks, now dont get lost here its a little complicated. What if..... stay with me..... we keep both? I know I know, I hope I did not lose anyone here. If we keep both, yes both, we might have one of the best goaltending duos in the league. Its not like..... you know..... goalies have a bad stretch of games every now and then. Right? I dont know, I know its an extreme thought, but go big or go home right?

If you keep all of Murray, Jarry and DeSmith for next year... someone will have to go on waivers again and this time I do not think that anyone gets through. So in the off season someone will "need" to be traded for most likely lesser return (as FA goalies will be available to teams)

Trading one now obviously relies on the return. If the return helps the Pens out more than keeping all of the goalies, then you do the trade.

Yeah sure, but that one traded goalie doesnt have to be Murray like everyone is suggesting.

It's unfortunate to say, but I do not have confidence in Murray that he will make a save on any individual shot that is put on him. I'm not saying that he is a stinker, at all... but if I have not confidence in you making a save, then I am okay with you being part of a hockey trade (as opposed to a dump trade, or a cap trade, etc).
