Description

It's being reported that the Devils are listening to offers for Hall, so I'm just brainstorming what it would take to get him on the Sharks. This is most likely gonna be a deadline deal, so the obvious blueprint is the Stone trade from last year (Top prospect, 2nd and depth player). Now I believe Hall, being a former MVP, is gonna be worth a bit more than that, so the Sharks would have to add a bit

Thats gross. Hall has been pretty sucky this year so giving up our best prospect and a future top 4 D, a current decent D, and a first is a pretty big overpayment unless hes signing a very cheap contract for full term.

It is a hefty price, but we still need a top 6 forward, and Doug might just try and go after the best one available. Merkley's been the best D man in the OHL this year, so I wouldn't really want to give him up, but this just seems like the most realistic price the Devils would ask for.

Yeah I get that, I just think this would be pretty eh in terms of trades and Doug usually finds a way to get good value rather than overpaying.

Sharks don't necessarily need to get younger, they need to get better. Hall does that.
