It means they're doing their jobs. You know, because they're scouts?

I bet you feel all big and smart after that comment don't you?

You probably don't even know what type of scout does that.

What if it’s like Allen+Bortuzzo for Ceci+pick. It’s janky af but the Leafs get a backup and a decent defender while the Blues shed salary for 20-21 that they can use to sign Pietrangelo.

That is something that makes sense. Burtuzzo would add an enforcer type without taking away from skill. Creative idea.

Stone did not go with an extension. Stone signed an extension with them and same for Karlsson under conditions.

The stone deal was made with the teams knowing an extension was coming. It happened all of 3 days later (and made official when tagging rules permitted).
The Karlsson deal was not traded with an extension, but did have provisions for if he was extended.

Yeah Blues are going to trade their captain right after a cup win and before a repeat... I swear you make the dumbest comments on this site. Do you have any brain cells?

It's amazing that this came from your account. You never fail to give me a good laugh.

Well Blues most likely aren’t interested in a deal for full extension value...

Are there rumors what Pietrangelo demands are ? Cause those can already indicate if TML is after him, considering tight Cap next year.

Trading Stastny and Shattenkirk while the team is out of the playoffs is a lot different than trading Pietrangelo when the team is first in the west and retained an entire championship squad.

Right. It's still a way to win big, long term, but now the price is higher.

It’s all speculation. Everyone thinks since he won a cup he wants a 8 digit deal which doesn’t make all that much sense because that would mean he is a Karlsson material and he is not and people are turning down how much he is worth being as a Karlsson deal comparison because they don’t want to pay that much but don’t want the Blues to get a good deal. That’s how capfriendly works if you can’t screw the other team and help your own team in the process then an ACGM isn’t made. It’s probably around 8M for 5 years he is already 30 so setting him up until he is 35 isn’t all that bad. His wife is from St.Louis, his family settles well, won a cup already. Has Triplets. I really don’t think Pietrangelo is going to move 3 kids and his wife anywhere else especially when his wife wants to stay in St.Louis.
