Description

Islanders Fans: What's the general feeling around Michael Dal Colle? Personally, I haven't been impressed with his play this season. He played really well with Filppula and Komarov last season in a defensive role, but he just hasn't been the same this year, offensively or defensively. Obviously he's not going to be the top-6 forward the Isles drafted in 2014, but I still think he could be an NHL caliber player. What are your guys thoughts?

He's pretty good defensively. Contributes next to zero offensively. But his advanced stats from his short time on the Cizikas line are very, very good. Could compete with Leo and Ross there for LW4 next season. Don't see Martin coming back

yup, you summed it up pretty well. I think he has like 6 shots on goal in 14 games, but he does excel at shot suppression.

His game reminds me of Nickolay Kulimen, smart and sound defensively. I think he could also be an effective PKer. Obviously not what you hope for with a 5th overall but a solid bottom 6 wing on a minimal salary.

He’s good on both sides of the puck in my opinion, he just waaay too slow. Happy to keep him around as a dirt cheap 12-13th in the hopes he plays his way into a good trade or a solid 3rd line roll.
