Dobson isn't getting moved for Nylander, let alone Dobson and Mayfield and more. If, and even this is a big if, Dobson is going to TOR it would need to be in a package with Marner coming back the other way. Meaning, Dobson is off limits so stop trying to get him.

Otherwise I'll gladly take Mayfield for Kapanen (even though I REALLY don't want to move Mayfield).

You are missing the mark on this one. I am a Leafs fan, and I think this is a silly trade. Mayfield is nothing special and Martin is 10000% not necessary. I am amongst a small group of Leaf fans that realize the defence isn't really the problem. Team play has been the biggest issue and even that has been sorted out a fair amount. The Leafs need to fix their PP and their Penalty Kill and they'll be a dominant team. Currently they are 8th in the league at allowing scoring chances. That is up from 24th last season or something like that. They are much better than last year but the media hot takes keep fans from really knowing what is what.
