No thanks. Pens aren’t giving up a first for a rental unless it’s hall. GMJR already said that. Nor will they give up a 1st to get out of JJ contract. He also said he isn’t giving up guys like Addison unless they are getting an nhl top 6 player that’s signed to at least 2-3 year contracts.

You literally know nothing on what they will do. Pens have offered in the past as the reports go to add "sweetener" to a JJ deal and you LITERALLY have no clue if that was a 1st.

He also said nothing of the sort on Addison, so stop making things up.

He’s right. The sweetener won’t be a first considering we didn’t even need one for Gudbranson. He’s not going to trade our best prospect and another top prospect we have for Toffoli. This is a huge overpayment.

Yes he has said that about Addison. He is one of their best prospects and their best RHD prospects which the pens don’t exactly have a plethora of. And you’re an idiot. If GMJR had any interest of giving up a 1st to get rid of Johnson, he’d have already done it.

Hell the reported Minnesota deal earlier wasn’t even near as lopsided as this deal was. Go back to your NHL 20 where you can guarantee the pens win the cup with these asinine trades cause it’s on rookie. ?

I think remove Addison and it’s a fair deal. Toffoli isn’t worth a first+Bjorkvist but they also take on JJ contract Which evens out the deal. Hutton is just a throw in. I’d remove LAs 2nd round pick too

with how JJ is playing right now there is no way they would give up much of anything to move him.

I will remind eveyone here that Hutton's 5v5 is giving up 16 goals in 15 games this year. JJ has given up 6.
Yeah yeah yeah I know, oh he's on a worse team....no he just sucks and lets be done with that argument.
They give up a ton for a worse defense man and another dud LA winger.
No thanks.

LA Kings are more then likely heading for a rebuild here soon, Fat chance they take on an aging Jack Johnson and that contract. Not sure why they would even want him back any ways.

GMJR would look really bad if he gave up a 1st round pick to get rid of JJ...he know's the contract is trash, but overpaying for a team to take him would be worse.

You realize that you made up and AGM with literally knowing nothing about what they will do, literally no clue if it was a 1st, and making it all up? What is the difference between what you did/said and what Pensfan89 did/said?

If the pens were offering a first to take Johnson, he would be gone by now.

Here's the thing. I'm fine with anyone disagree with my proposal and honestly after looking at it again, I'd probably remove Addison. That being said, I'm not claiming I know for a fact ANYTHING. I'm just having fun with some ideas. When people say nope, they won't do that like they're sitting there with them it just shows how dumb they are. You can THINK they wouldn't, but nobody here knows anything.

Also, I never said I know it was a first. I'm saying they reported JR was offering "sweetener" and I'm just guess it may have been a first. I'm not saying it definitely was or wasn't.

I don't know about that. Johnson's contract is a doozie.

Typically teams going through rebuilds will take on gnarly contracts from teams desperate to move them because they will get better than normal assets in return.

I'm not saying it will or it won't. I'm GUESSING it would be. You have no idea what it was. Gudbranson >>> Johnson. Moron. Also, ANA was in a desperate position in needing a dman. Sometimes situations dictate a move or terms, not a simply does this team want him.

To the other stuff, as I said in a reply I'd probably remove Addison from the proposal.

You mean how he's still playing terrible? I love how people act like he's playing better. Go look at the numbers, homie. He's still god awful and being masked by the team playing better around him.

I removed Addison from the trade. I agree that was too much. I'm not unreasonable. This is for fun and people act like they're sitting next to the real GM and really know what would go down. EVERYONE here is guessing.

Let me guess. All you look at is corsi. Try watching and learning the game. Then you might know what you are seeing.

He’s said plenty of times that he’s not trading his 1st unless it’s for a top 6 that’s signed multiple years and that he wasn’t trading it just to get out of JJ’s contract. And even if that weren’t true, it’s common freaking sense that they aren’t trading their best prospects and top draft pick just to get out of one contract for a pending UFA that hasn’t been himself anyway. When they have to re-sign Murray, Petterson, McCann, Kahun, Simon, etc they are going to need their top prospects to make that next jump. Just insane to think otherwise.

Hell his stats are better. At this point last year he was a -7, this year he is a +4. Hell he was a minus all year last year and never was a plus, though he went from a -13 to a -4 by the end of the year, but never was a plus for the season at any point.
His corsi last year never was better than 46%. It’s 48% this year. At this time last year it was 35%. Fenwick was about the same.

Weird playing with vets like Letang, Schultz, Maatta, Oleksiak last year, but somehow playing with a rookie makes him better? Lol and i don’t get this being sheltered nonsense these other pens fans that have a hard on to pay the moon to trade him keep claiming. The guy spends most of his time on the P.K. and has a defensive zone start of 60% lol. You’d think if they were to shelter a guy, they wouldn’t put him in the most high risk situations ?‍♂️. It’s pretty much a waste of your time trying to talk sense into some of these fans lol

@mhockey91 tried using a bunch of advanced stats charts to claim he knows what he is talking about. I used those same charts to point out all the flaws in the argument that most people make against the typical whipping boy on the pens roster (gudbranson, Johnson, mattaa). He just ignored it. Called me a troll. And blocked me. Typical loser pens fan.
