Bergeron, Marchand and Pastrnak all request a trade if they hand a 28 year old with one 30 goal season 7x10.75.

Grzelcyk is getting 4-5m for 4 years
They would be insane to offer that contract to Krug. He will be 36 when his contract expires.

Seriously - You have a 36 year old Hall making 10.75 & 36 year old Krug Making 8m - these deals might destroy the franchise.

I’ll start by saying I still think the trade is a bad one for the bruins, and then go from top to bottom.
    1. Debrusk: That deal walks him directly to UFA without buying out any UFA years. Hard no.
    2. Grzelcyk probably gets 5 million, and at least 4 years. This is a joke.
    3. Why would any prospect sign a three year deal around league minimum? Also, why would the bruins sign a guy they might not even qualify to such a deal? Makes no sense.
    4. No way Bjork signs 3 years at such small money. 1 year? Sure. 3? Not a shot.
    5. See above.
    6. Way too much money.
    7. Either too much term, or too much money. He’s not getting that in boston.
    8. Halak. Sure, why not.
    9. Chara. Sure, why not.
    10. Nieto. Why?

Lol what. Why would they request a trade...
You have a window of 1-3 years with Bergeron.
Might as well go all in.

Grzelcyk $5 mil?? I'd be shocked if that happened. He's still an RFA. Maybe $2-3 max on a short term deal.
Hell, McAvoy got $4.9 as an RFA.

The only guy I see asking $5+ mil is Coyle and that's why I did not resign him.

You are literally 11-2-2 with one line scoring goals....
The Bruins would be even better if that 2nd line started scoring as well.

The second line needs a RW. We have a 25-30 goal score on LW. LW is one of the deepest positions on the Bruins. Adding another does not improve the team. And in this scenario they got weaker at C whike not fixing the RW problem. Over the cap. And Grizz gets triple that anyway.

Adding Hall for this year is a bad idea. Adding him long term is even worse.

You don’t “fix” a strength. Fix the problem....RW.

McAvoy was a group 1 RFA coming off his entry. Grzelcyk is much closer to UFA, and is group 2. He's actually allowed to talk to, or even sign with other teams in RFA. McAvoy wasn't. I don't think you know who he is, other than "that undersized guy taht plays for the bruins." He spends time on the top pair. He was paired with McAvoy for the majority of the game last night. 20 minutes. not that i buy into that crap but his advanced stats last year were off the charts. If they want him with any sort of term, he's getting 5 million. 2 million is an absolute joke.

Because it completely goes against why they all took much less money. Paying a guy who you yourself have on the second line just about twice as much as your 1st line is not a good look.

Hall isn't that good. They weren't willing to blow up the structure for Tavares, they certainly are not going to do it for a guy who A) has one 30 goal season B) Cannot stay healthy.

You cannot justify paying Hall more than Bergeron, Marchand or Pastrnak.
