Trying to have a real conversation, as I am not too familiar with the value of some Sabres players (not an avid Sabres fan), so I'm not trolling. Someone else suggested Tage Thompson + Montour + 1st, would that be something of interest? I genuinely want to see Laine on the Sabres, I think he would be dynamite with Eichel.

Anything the jets want is not what another team will give up until Laine starts playing well in both ends and 5v5.

Take out the first and do a second with it as a conditional first if the Sabres make the conference final or the Stanley cup. Trading Montour is a hard hit but I think for a player like Laine it might be worth it. Only problem I have is getting Laine in the first place because there will be bad cap issues later on when we resign Dahlin, Laine, Cozens, Jokiharju, etc.
