What about Bracco for DeSmith with 300k retention?

DeSmith is not worth that much. No one took him for free from waivers...

He didn't get claimed bc he makes too much for TOR, and COL for whatever reason hates multi year contracts for non star players lol

If you retained the Leafs would up that pick. If you don't retain the Leafs can't do the trade. They are counting pennies on the cap

its sad because DeSmith even came out and said if he knew he'd be waived he wouldn't have asked for that much on his contract extension, even though its a very fair deal imo. he's better than Koskenin and makes much less

DeSmith is difficult fit for so many teams. Leafs have "lots" of AHL goalie and at least two young guys they want develop. Is DeSmith an improvement over the others? Of course the Pens have no reason to trade him as he will be needed in case of an NHL goalie injury.

Thought it was strange that Degostino signed with the Leafs. Leafs have lots of good wingers in the NHL and AHL. Thought he would've signed with a winger deficient NHL team. If it meant that Agostino could get back to the NHL, the Leafs IMO would be willing to trade him...a good faith trade, which they have done before.

Here's my proposal Kaskiko (the Marlie goalie) and Agostino for Desmith and a fourth. DeSmith might have a better opportunity as the NHL with just Hutchinson in front of him. And if the Pens wants Agostino....who did show well in pre season

That's OK too. But if the Leafs had wanted DeSmith (or any other backup) they could have made a trade earlier. If Hutch plays tonight against the Caps....that will be a test.
