My guess is that Kekalainen would want that 2020 second rather than the two lower and later picks. Bjorkstrand is a valuable commodity.

Dahlen and Chmelevski are all but guaranteed for top six roles in just the next two years. I thought I overpaid.

I understand your thinking, but Bjorkstrand is a proven talent, and the two prospects aren't. If one of them busts, then this is far from an overpayment. But it's a great structure. Nice visualization!

he's sub .900 sv% in his last two seasons and has never played a starter's schedule. he's not going to get a cup contender over the hump. at his best, he still won't be a dramatic improvement over jones or dell
