I'm not sure this should be considered a rebuild since you traded away 2 1st round picks. More just the same stuff Pittsburgh's been doing for years

Well I also disagree with the Edmonton and Anaheim trades. The Minnesota one gives me pause only because if the Wild acknowledge they're awful and actually want to rebuild properly they may do a move like this but I think they got their head firmly buried in the sand for the time being

I would think they would want more for Zucker and Dumba with also having to take back Johnson's contract

No chance the Wild trade Dumba alone for that package, let alone throwing in Zucker.

No way pens do any of these trades. They aren’t trading Gudbranson or JJ. Why pay to get rid of them when you can expose them to Seattle expansion and hope Seattle just takes one. If not they will be much easier to trade next year (Gudbranson at least will be easy to retain on and trade 1 year of services at 2 million and get decent quality back). Jack Johnson you can just bury and keep for d depth. That 1.025 million in cap space there rather than paying to rid themselves of him.
They can get way more for Schultz. He is a pending UFA right shot top 4 D and you’re trading him for pennies like he is a dime a dozen D. Teams overpay massively at the trade deadline for guys like Schultz. If pens only get a 3rd for Schultz, wpg best be taking JJ and Gudbranson with zero retention with him at least.
Trading 2 firsts + Rust + Bjorkqvist for Zucker and Dumba just cause they are taking JJ? No way. Not in such a deep draft. Unless the pens are a for sure playoff team, no way I do this.
Especially if we play Zucker on his off wing where he is brutal.
