Johnson and Hörnqvist gotta go but feel like u giving up way too much.

The way I see it is that this team has traded many draft picks in the past to improve with additions. The precedent should be the same if needed to improve by subtraction.

Assuming the second is the sweetener for Johnson (ducks don’t do it unless it’s at least a first since we don’t need another LD and even then maybe not) a 4th liner doesn’t get Larsson

You’re honestly right...this team is fine if they switch Hornqvist for Kahun and things will get better if they ever trade JJ. Although Guddy struggled last night he looked a bit faster compared to last season. I feel like he got caught at times because of them trying to shelter JJ. You can’t shelter two defenseman on different pairings and expect to succeed.

they missed Rust last night that was obvious. Everyone wanted to trade him but without a fast player like him on the wing there is a hole.
Kahun, I'm neither here nor there. He's played multiple games at this point, I'm not overly impressed. He ain't done nothing. He hasn't shown me he has elite speed. If he doesn't start doing something on that ice you might as well send him to wbs too for someone who will.

My biggest issue right now is Sullivan. If he can't change the system then they won't ever win. He's hell bent on constantly playing below the line. You aren't going to win every puck battle. and when you lose the pucks going the other way in numbers. It's fine to play down there occasionally, but you can't play the whole game that way. It shows.

Vs the Sabres... the sabres where very good, and the pens where on a new level of bad. Malkins line was the most productive line but they never scored. 1 goal was scored on PP with 5 chances. The PP chances at the end of the game where sooo bad. 17 giveaways needs to be fixed also. Good game for Buffalo who could have easily had 6-7 goals.
