leafs did it to get around the cap if mitch did not sign before the season started and the sens needed to reach the cap floor.

LTIR is very complex, in the case of Vegas it had to do with paying bonuses this year for Engelland and a couple others, or they would transfer over the the next seasons cap hit and hurt them more. LTIR isnt free cap space. Its more like insurance cap space.

This looks like a huge overpayment for Petry. At the deadline, he sure could fetch a 1st + 3rd maybe, but Robertson is too good of a prospect to be included in this trade.

I add a 2020 2nd rd pick ( good draft ) because Dallas need at least a pick in the first 2 rounds. Maybe remove Dallas 2021 2nd rd pick, but in that case its Robertson and move down a little bit in the draft getting CHI 2020 2nd round pick. I think it's not enough, but maybe it's fair
