In terms of value I agree 100% overpayment, I used the third to try and recoup some. The marketing potential gives vancouver some leverage, additionally the hype surrounding quinn would require a bit of an overpayment as well

nucks fans can fry all they want, smith and quinn are comps, michael mcleoud looks ready to make the jump, and theyre getting a first. at the end of the day they're in a better spot than they were pre trade, and the gm would have to consider it.

I agree we should try to get Quinn, and Smith hasn't done himself any favors this camp. I know he has a great upside, but I think the Hughes connection makes it something we should try. Especially after missing the boat with the Niedermayer brothers.
Do you think Smith and a 1st for Quinn without Mcleod would be enough?
