Are you guys high on Nilsson? I'm a Canucks fan and I never was fond of him. How much does STL need to add? My sight on this is that Anderson won't resign and thus Allen could jobshare as the veteran with Gustavson. It's not like cap is an issue, and IMO Allen is the better goalie.

What if it was Tatar instead? Probably lower the pick to a 2nd.

i think ottawa thinks nilsson could be a pretty good starter until either gus or sogaard takes the job from him

He has his solid nights, but he must be one of the most inconsistent goalies in the league. And I support what many people refer to as the "goalie graveyard". I don't think Nilsson is the right goalie to mentor a potential star that you have in Gus, nor is he the guy to be bailing out a young defense. Allen is also inconsistent, but I'd say his peak is lower but his low is higher, so more balanced than the "heartbeat" graph of Nilsson.

The return just isn't worthwhile;
2 bottom 6 forwards and a bottom 10 pick in whatever round in 2021 doesn't incite to move a top 6 forward

I guess people are losing faith in Fabbri. Perhaps I will make this trade if he shows stints of his value while not injured and given a chance.

make the 1st in 2020 the draft is in MTL so fans will like the idea of 2 firsts

not to high on injury prone Fabbri , i mean he has upside as he's very responsible with the puck but that's 2 more bottom 6 forwards when we're already having issues finding room for KK, Poehling and Suzuki to fit in there . you're taking a top 6 player and giving us more bottom 6 pieces .

i like Sundqvist and the 1st but we'd need Kyrou to make it work .
STL is the reigning champ so adding a player who has 50 point average the last 3 seasons leading MTL in PP points last year by a fair margin so adding him to a team with a PP that can help him will see him hit career highs as a 24 year old forward in his 4th year .

Sundqvist gives us someone to use now on top LW by with Domi-Lehkonen for now while developing Kyrou in Laval this year and letting him come out hungry to camp next year like we did Suzuki,Evans and Fleury last year .

its like Martin Havlat , Great player but little to no trade value .
Teams always wanted to be 1st in line to sign him because he was a clutch playoff performer in short bursts

Fabbri will be in a similar position until he hits 150+ games in 2 straight seasons without any major stints out

Isn't Kyrou still considered one of the league's top 10 prospects? I'm not a blues fan so I'm just experimenting with this AGM, but trading a top-level prospect for a 2nd line left winger seems a bit drastic.

That's the problem w/ Fabbri, his big injury that cut an entire season. He's no longer the player that was coming out of junior, losing some development and thus potential, and the spots he could've taken w/ the Blues are being taken by younger guys, and he's being phased out of the Blues system. Same thing would happen in MTL, he'd just get phased out by the young guys in 1-2 years.

If he can manage to turn things around and regain some of his similar play from juniors, good for him, the Blues will have a good player. But currently, it doesn't look like that will happen, and he doesn't have much value rn.

i never thought he was

he's a really good winger with speed maybe top 30 in the NHL but he's future no shoe in for first line like most of the top 10 prospects around the league . i'd say he's about Suzuki level prospect with as much skill but more speed where as Suzuki's known for positioning /hockey IQ. (Suzuki's gotten a lot faster and put on 10 pounds muscle and Claude Julien was impressed he listened to his advice last camp)

Kyrou is a dominant power play guy like Drouin which is why i included him

If Kyrou's ceiling is the same or better than Drouin, would that not make it a 1 for 1 rather than STL still adding? Or is that what you are trying to say?
Is tatar more likely to be moved than drouin?

i just meant purely his Playoff potential
Kyrou is like Kessel(not exactly but similar) type who plays 2nd/3rd line and top PP

i dont think he's a guy who will play top pair and top PP
he's a guy who will play 2nd /3rd line and top PP

Drouin has been a top 6 player since he was 21 years old and is the top PP forward
Kyrou is 21 and it doesnt look like he's making the cut this year bound for the AHL

... and utterly worthless as a team player, he doesn't defend. Like, at all.

By the way, Kyrou is still recovering from surgery. He's slated to start in San Antonio for a pre-set reason.

and 90% of the players on his teams dont produce on the PP , like at all lol

Drouin has Great Corsi and Fenwick stats but most importantly he averages as many forced turnovers as he does **** ups when he turns over the puck

year a 23 year old is still learning the game and evolving , sue him

Oh, he's allowed to be evolving. But so is Kyrou, who is two years younger, but you seem to have already set his ceiling. smile
