Don’t even need to see the trade. Only way Dallas moves Hintz is with a severe overpay from an opposing team. He was a rock in the late half of the season and was a huge reason dallas went somewhere in the playoffs
overpaying on a player like Hintz wouldnt be much
i mean 22 points in 58 games is nothing special
if he had 20 goals and wasnt a -11 then sure maybe teams would pay more
i look at Lehkonen whom everyone on this site says isnt worth a 2nd round pick and he had done more his rookie year at age 21 then Hintz did at age 22 . his 2nd season he had almost identical numbers to Hintz with more Goals scored and everyone said it 'ruined his trade value ' . Even coming off a Career year last season i cant convince anyone on here to give up a 2nd for him .
Hintz only edge is he can take faceoffs at an Andrew Shaw like consistency from wing but so can many players accross the league .
at this point i wouldnt even trade Hintz for Lehkonen one for one because Lehkonen's a mobile 2 way player where as Hintz is a big bodied power forward who create's havoc along the boards and infront of the net . there is value in Hintz as a Power Forward but that's 2-3 years from now if he can keep up to the speed of todays game at his size .
this feels like Faksa all over again
you guys place more value on him because he's a big body built for the old NHL but he's still just a 30 point bottom 6 player on a playoff worthy team .
