Theyre not a cup contender. Theyre a first round exit to Boston team. They cant compete with Boston and their D of McAvoy, Carlo, Chara and Krug. Boston has better goaltending. Because Blues are going to sign him a contract they can fit it in, and if they aren't going to they can trade him at Deadline to someone who is contending as well, but I doubt we give him up for less than what this deal looks like. and probably more tbh.
