EDM rejects the Drouin trade

I'm a Habs fan and I think this would be close to fair for both teams(probably why both fan bases would sh!+ on it lol). In my opinion Nurse carries more value than Drouin, Mete more than Pul and Thompson has little value while Gagner is a minor negative.

All in all edge to the Oilers because Gagner makes 3 times as much as Thompson. Remove these 2 players from the equation and I'd go as far as to call it fair value.

Yeah the Gags for Thompson part is really just to even up the cap since the Oil can’t afford to take on Drouin’s salary without more going back than Nurse’s current last year of a low-cost deal. Gags can always be put in Laval too to reduce cost further, and its just this year and then he’s done.

I get that, and I like bigphil's idea of a draft pick to even it out except a 2nd is a little pricey for a year of contract. I'd say a 3rd which the Habs could then flip to Dallas for Honka.
