As a fan I would definitely prefer locking him up long term now, but that would also mean that someone is gonna have to be moved before he can sign.

The way Treliving operates I can tell you pretty confidently that a bridge won't be over 6.75, in my estimation.

The key here is a 3-year deal so at the end Chucky is still an RFA and can then be signed on an 8 year at top money! Faster payday for his (UFA) contract but a better deal for the team short term (and long IMO).
