This team doesn't spend to the cap but I can't see any foreseeable way they can acquire a legit left wing without doing so and that includes trading Fowler and Stoner. The only way they are going to secure a left winger is via trade and Fowler or Despres have to be used as bait. The rest of the ranks will have to be filled out by rookies or super-cheap, one-year deals like last season (i.e. Stewart, Horcoff, Santorelli). Jones's and Hertl's contracts are the baseline for Lindholm and Rakell. Anything less is delusional. I thought Stoner would be bought-out but that doesn't appear to be happening but he has to go. Bieksa could be moved too but he has a no-move clause. Cogliano could go but he's too important for the team.
