Got to be Namestnikov. He'd be the most attractive player a team would want that the Rags would want to move out and if NYR retain a bit of salary, I think he'd be a dark horse pickup for the right team.

Kreider has wayyy more value than Namestikov. Just because the Rangers want to move him instead does not mean that he is the most likely option to go.

They won't move Kreider before the season start. There's too much value there to rush a deal. It'll take a little while to work out a fair deal. Namestnikov is almost an after thought at this point. if he stays with the Rangers, he's looking at 4th line minutes potentially. They need some quick cap cap space and they can;t expect too much in return for him so that IMO makes him a easy target. If the Rangers retain on him, there will be plenty of suitors ready to take a flyer on him. That's the only reason I think he is the most likely to move. (First) If Krieder is traded it will most surely include a 1st coming back and prospects, etc. Those types of deals take way longer to procure. Teams want to make sure its the right move. lots at stake. With Namestnikov and the Rangers retaining 1-2M, I'd gladly throw a 3rd rounder and ok prospect right now if I have the cap space and need for a depth winger that has potential to move into the top 6.
