DÉTAILS DE LA CLAUSE: Le joueur soumet une liste de 7 équipes où il refuse d'être échangé.
This is a crazy good deal. I assumed that if he was going to sign a deal at around this much it was going to be on a one year prove it deal, even then I thought he would get $5M. Obviously hindsight is 50-50, but if the Leafs knew they could get him for this price, how much better would the outlook be if instead of trading for Muzzin, they kept their first and two prospects and used that money to sign Gardiner.
WOW! Absolute terrific value signing with a player who is paid where he should be and this team made out big time! THE Hurricanes are a team to reckon with! Great move on both sides.
Great value for a mid pairing defender. I just don't get why Carolina was the one to sign him given their potent defense already. I imagine this means that Faulk and TVR may not be retained beyond this year.
Slavin - Hamilton
Gardiner - Pesce
Fleury/Forsling/Bean - Faulk/TVR/McKeown/Priskie
gards isnt necessarily a shutdown dman. but this fills a HUGE hole they had from PP aspect instead of dougie just letting loose clappers from the top of the circle.
