I suspect you'd need to retain 50% of Russell's salary, and upgrade both picks by one round (i.e. a first this year, a second next year). You'd likely also need to throw in another NHL caliber prospect.

One more thing... you'd likely be signing Laine to a 1 year (max 2 year) deal on that dollar amount...

Jets are going to be looking for a top 4 dman, an a prospect and most likely one or two 1sts.

If the NJD offer is legit that’s close to what the price will be. Apparently they offered Severson and 3 1sts.

I don’t think Russel Yamamoto and 2 2nds is even close. I think with Edmonton, it starts with Nurse, Yamamoto and a 1st
